"SONGS YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF"

A cultivation of their four years at Carnegie Mellon University, Gracyn sought to use their time on stage to highlight the inequities in the world of music. The program featured works of all marginalized composers and/or writers, as well as a cast of 11 musicians, also all marginalized in their own right. Gracyn's program was meticulously thought out, with an extensive, handmade program featuring personal notes about each piece to accompany the performance. Ellen Rissinger was the collaborative pianist. The digital program is intended to accompany the performance.

PI KAPPA LAMBDA

Gracyn was inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda Honors Society in November of 2022, which involved putting on a short recital. Gracyn based this recital on the lives and works of women, beginning with an aria from Adamo's Little Women, then moving to a section about Ethel Smyth (one of Gracyn's favorite composers), and concluding with an art song by Florence B. Price. Two of these works were later featured on Gracyn's 2023 Recital titled, "Songs You Haven't Heard Of".
